Analytics forecast expansive growth at the solar power market in 2015
The amount of sold solar panels increased by 20 per cent compared to 2014.
The most attractive alternative energy source now is solar energy power.
Annually the Earth received 1018 kW of solar energy power. Using only 2 per cent amount we can receive energy amount equal to one produced from 1.1012 tons of reference fuel. Practical task given to solar power station developers is the most efficient energy concentration and low cost conversion to desirable energy type.
Developing the alternative energy technologies led to significant cost saving of solar energy production. This alternative energy industry became so popular due to many facts. The first one is solar energy availability all over the world compared to randomly distributed fossil fuels and the second one is that solar power being almost inexhaustible clean source of energy reduces harmful emission to environment.
Fall of solar power production costs caused certain market reaction. In 2014 total solar power stations capacity amounted to 45 GW and by the end of 2015 it would be 50 GW. Market analytics consider this tendency keeps along for a couple of years.
Eicke Weber, head of the Fraunhofer Solar Energy Institute believes that the market is going to develop very intensively and by 2020 production level will be about 100-150 GW. If this forecast is true the 4 per cent share of the world energy supply will be from solar energy power.
We cannot consider such a forecast to be wrong. During past two years entrepreneurship from USA, Japan and China along with the European companies figured out profit from solar energy power use. In 2014 Latin America, Africa and Middle East region showed great interest as well. Unfortunately such intensive technology development is harmful for production balance. Governmental grants provided to solar panels manufacturers in China made European companies experience huge losses. Within last two years Germany and Italy twice reduced the amount of investments besides German manufacturers cut workforce for almost a half from 127000 to 77000.
Milan Nitzschke, a press officer at Solar World, a German company mentioned China’s attempt to dominate at the world market using dirty methods including dumping. To save the situation European companies had to lobby additional custom duties in US and EU.
Despite temporal difficulties European solar panels manufacturers stay relatively positive as falling price for solar power attracts more and more consumers. Eicke Weber forecasts that due to existing rate of development one kW/h in Europe will be from six till tree eurocents by 2017. That is why many municipal companies and private households converted to solar panels.
Jorg Mayer, managing director at German Solar Panel Manufacturers Association notes that more and more solar panel producers go outside the bounds of the local markets. Most of the companies reviewed their strategy and started their business abroad.
This opinion shares Peter Fat, an official representative from German Engineers Association. 'Expansive growth of the industry caused the necessity of competent stuff able to perform power station installation. Last year that index grew by 30 per cent and we expect such indexes this years as well', he announced.
