Biomass from wood processing in Romania

Wood waste from industrial wood processing that can be utilised as a source of energy is: the bark, trunk pieces, sawdust, veneer waste, wood dust. Their volume is great (about 60 percent of the processed wood amount) but most of them are utilised as secondary raw material in wood plates manufacturing and cellulose industry.

Regarding the waste from the wood processing industry we considered the volume of wood to be processed, the assortment of manufactured products and their specific average consumption, as well as re-utilisation of part of the waste from the primary processing as secondary raw material in the wood plate industry and cellulose industry.
