The renewable and clean energy ‘s future is now in the developing world ! Asian countries are overtaking developed ones in terms of spending on renewable and cleaner fossil power projects. Indonesia has just announced a master plan for the development of renewable energyresources and set a target for renewables to represent 25% of total energy consumption in 2025. Wind, solar and hydroelectric power in addition to geothermal potential provide

Indonesia with many options. Malaysia is hoping that the recently launched National Renewable Energy Policy Plan will help the country hit its targets and  the new feed-in tariffs that recently came Into effect will certainly help achieving these targets. Thailand launched its 15-year Renewable Energy Development plan and aims to increase renewable energy from 6.4% to 20% in 2022.

In addition, the fall in equipment costs and growing appetite for clean technology has resulted in increased policy support measures and increased investment in cleaner fossil power investments. Thailand is involved in clean coal pilot projects, Indonesia is building its first supercritical coal fired power plant. TNB Malaysia has increased it operational efficiency by upgrading it 6 existing plants. Successful CO2 sequestration achievements are made and much effort is being made in power plant optimization and efficiency increase resulting in tremendous CO2 emission reduction achievements.

Following on from our hugely successful inaugural Clean Power Asia event in June 2011, attended by 430 power industry stakeholders, we are interested to see the latest clean energy initiatives at Clean Power Asia 2012, Bali International Convention Centre, May 14-16.

During the three days, three track conference new clean power policy and regulatory updates, the latest pricing and feed-in tariff plans, project updates in solar, wind, hydro, geothermal and bioenergy, new financing approaches and innovative fossil power technologies will all come under the spotlight. In addition, the Clean Power Asia exhibition will provide a great opportunity for industry professionals to explore new clean power industry products and technologies and search for new suppliers.

The event will again present innovative approaches in renewable energy projects and new cleaner fossil power initiatives and achievements. You can adapt the agenda to your area of interest with streamed sessions on:

  • Clean power policy, strategy and finance
  • Renewable power (solar, wind, hydro, bio and geothermal)
  • Next-Gen fossil power

In addition, there will be great networking activities, hosted round table discussions and plug-in and charge networking sessions for maximized interaction with your industry colleagues.
