German manufacturers underproduced 0,5 GW limit of photovoltaic capacity improvement
Total power capacity of solar panels implemented in 2014 was 2,9 GW which was lower limits set by the government at 2,4 – 2,6 GW level.
According to official data German photovoltaic capacity addition in 2014 amounted to 40-42 GW. Due to the report published by Bundesnetzagetur, the Federal Agency in electricity, gas, telecommunication, post and railways the improvement was 107,6 MW last December.
It stands to mention that the Cabinet of Germany recently approved a three-year-plan for photovoltaic capacity improvement. Its aim is to convert from high-cost mechanism of subsidy providing into alternative energy to the market auctions which would show suitability of bidding for other renewable energy sources.
