In 2015 kindergarten in Berdyansk converted to solar energy power
Within 'Potential development model for Ukraine and Georgia' project framework new solar collectors were installed in one of the Berdyansk kindergartens.
The project cost is about half a million hryvnias provided the local community as a special purpose grant. Initial time-to-value is tree or four years. During this period either new solar collectors will be installed or the whole water heating system will be changed. The contracting organization has already tuned all the controlling equipment and installed the hot water supplying and adjusting system. Such a water heating system is a second installed in the city. The first one was constructed in Berdyansk in the middle of 2014 summer. Equipment were purchased for the private funds of 'Berdyansk Municipal Enterprise of Water Supply and Waste Water Treatment' utility and installed in the city bath house. It helped to reduce electric power costs. The local government plans to convert all the city preschool institutions to alternative energy sources. All the expenses required for purchasing, installing and adjusting equipment will be covered by private investors and international organizations' funds.
