Income of Kharkov region forestries has increased by 5%
According to information from the head of the State Department of Forestry and Hunting of Kharkov region the income from sales of state forestries of the region in 2013 has surpassed last year's amount by almost 5 % and was equal to $ 114, 2 mln. Harvesting wood in 2012 and in 2013 was 435,000 m3 , but in 2013 it were sold 400 000 m3 , and the rest wood were sent to the wood processing enterprises, which produce pellets, briquettes, pallets and boards. Products of the forestries are sold at auctions and are not taken out of Ukraine, i.e. this product doesn’t send to export.
In 2013, the state forest enterprises planted 8 million trees, which occupied more than 1 hectare, within the goal of forest regeneration and increase of their area on the territory of Ukraine. 7 million seedlings are ready for planting this year.
It was also noted that productivity of forestries of Kharkov region grew by 21%, which resulted coming of nearly 20 million UAH of taxes to the available budget of the region that exceed the amount of 2012 by almost 7%.
Forestry of Kharkov region consists of: Balakleysky, Bliznyukovskogo, Volchansky, Gutyanskogo, Zmiiv, Izyumske, Krasnograd Kupyanskaya, the October, Chuguevo-Babchanskogo state forestries and NPP "Gomolsha forest" (Zmievskoy district).
