Two wood-fired thermal power plant costing EUR 66 million is to appear in Ukraine in 2016
EIG Engineering intends to manufacture two thermal power plants with the capacity of 20 MW by the end of 2016, which will operate on wood chips. The cost of this project will be 66 million EUR.
TPP will be located in Rivne (Dubrovytsia city) and Chernigov (Horodnia city) regions. New power plants will provide about 200 new working places, improve the electricity and uninterrupted supply of power the inhabitants of these regions.
Wood chips for TPP will be delivered by state forest farms, which are located within 150 km from the station. Thanks to the purchase of wood fuel near TPP, which cost about 30 - 40 million per year, more taxes will come to the local budgets that improve product turnover in these regions.
Another part of the electricity that will be produced at the new TPP will be sold for "green" tariff to united energy system.
Let us remind that a similar project of EIG Engineering for the construction of thermal power plant that operates on wood fuel, which is implemented in Kiev region (Ivankov city), is coming to the end. Now the first line of Ivankov TPP, which capacity is 6 MW, ready to start working. When building of the power plant will be finished, its capacity will be 18 MW.
