Ukraine reduces consumption of import gas
For over 2014, more than 400 objects of a social sphere were transferred to the usе of solid fuel.
According to the data of open sources, solid fuel boilers are capable to work by using fuel chips, wood pellets and firewood as an alternative source of heating. Because of it, in 2014 the Ukrainian system of housing and communal services saved about half a billion cubic meters of gas. The funds for re-equipment of boiler rooms were found by the investors, and from the state budget. The western areas of Ukraine, such as Volynska and Rivenska lead in this process.
As showed up, during the heating season 2014 – 2015, upon transition to wood biofuel asset holders save 15% - 20% of their means. In cash it is about 200 thousand hryvnias per season.
As an example can be the Borispolsky CRH where solid fuel boilers were put into operation in November, 2014. The chief physician of the medical institution, Alexander Shchur said that the heating expenses were 1250 hryvnias for gigacalorie that is 15% less, than using gas. Also he admitted that not only the hospital was transferred to alternative types of fuel, but also all budget organizations of the area.
