January alterations in money circulation in Switzerland had an effect upon the pellet market. Sergey Kozlov, the analyst of Ukrainian biofuel portal pellets-wood. com considers that a steep rise in prices for pellets was caused by an abrupt strengthening of Swiss franc against euro, constituting 30%.
Presently, the price for pellets constitutes 409, 2 francs per tonne, which is by one per cent lower than the January price. At the same time, when converted into euro, an average price increased by 14% or by 47 euros and constitutes 391, 32 euros per tonne. A minimum price, presented at Swiss market, constitutes 379, 39 euros per tonne while the amount of delivery is 8 tonnes. What concerns a maximum price, it constitutes 404, 86 euros per tonne while the amount of supply is 3 tonnes.
