The export demand for Ukrainian rape is growing steadily. The fact that rape crops decreased significantly compared to previous years doesn’t influence the export. Now the market price per ton of rape is about 5,000 UAH.
Experts report of stability in export sales of rape. The EU, however, applies measures to restrain rising prices for rapeseed oil using alternative products - palm and soybean oils.
Poland and the Black Sea ports are regular importers of Ukrainian rape.
The new season is expected to bring a good crop of sunflower, both in Ukraine and Russia. Therefore, we will not experience the lack of rapeseed oil.
Experts also predict a decent crop of soybean in the upcoming year, while the remaining supply of sunflower is sufficient for the current sales.
