One of Canada's largest producers of pellets Groupe Savoie increases its production by half

Last year, Groupe Savoie, which is one of the largest producers of pellets in the Canadian province of New Brunswick, has doubled its deliveries to the domestic market, and this year is going to repeat this achievement.
The owner of the company, Jonathan Levesque explained that these steps are dictated by the sharp increase in demand, because only this winter the number of inhabitants of the province, using solid fuel boilers, increased by 40 percent. Such a situation has arisen in connection with the anomalous frosts that struck on Canada this year.
Mr. Levesque has no doubt that the goal will be accomplished, as wood waste from sawmills of his own company use like raw material for the production of pellets. He considers it significant advantage over the other manufacturers.
With the increase of the production of Groupe Savoie the information campaign for changing the behavioral patterns of consumers pellets has started. "We communicate with our customers and convince them to procure pellets throughout the year, without waiting for September and October," - said Mr. Levesque - "Our plant operates seven days a week and 24 hours a day. I'm not saying that because things are going this way from other manufacturers, but I think they would be happy to work throughout the year. "
Last year, the quantity of wood pellets, produced at Groupe Savoie plant, was about 70 thousand tonnes. 65% of this volume was exported to Europe.
