Renewable energy sources of Ukraine produced more than 1 billion kWh in 2013
On September 1, 2013 renewable sources of energy produced more than 1 billion kWh/h. The prescribed capacity of renewable energy sources was equal to 956.2 MW, taking into account that 310.5 MW came into operation only this year.
Thus, the amount of energy from renewable sources of energy for the first 8 months of this year in our country has increased by 32% in comparison with the result of the whole 2012. This information was provided by the State Agency of Energy Efficiency.
The development of solar energy for the past half year has been invested 360 million Euros. Due to the energy efficiency measures, implemented in regions, more than 5.7 billion m3 of natural gas was saved. The above information was provided by the chairman of the Agency.
Despite the rather optimistic results, public understanding of the issue of energy conservation is still far from the European standards. Based on this, the state policy directs all efforts to promote and popularize the issue of energy efficiency. The first significant step was the presentation of social advertising, developed jointly with the EU, which will be broadcasted on TV, radio and the Internet in the nearest future.
