Ukrainian crude sunflower oil: Asian importers database 2015-2016 (2Q)

The market experts of Ukrainian Biofuel Portal pellets-wood.com studied as well as analyzed the statistical information concerning the export of Ukrainian crude sunflower oil to the countries of Asia. Taking the analysis as a basis they created a database of Asian importers that purchased this product in the period of 2015 – second quarter of 2016.

The experts say that Ukrainian crude sunflower oil was purchased by 47 countries of the world, 10 of which are on the territory of Asia. In total, Ukrainian crude sunflower oil was purchased by 265 companies from 47 countries and the overall purchase volume was 3,877 mln tons in 2015.

In this regard, the main buyers of crude sunflower oil from Ukraine were India and China with 2.018 mln tons that constituted more than 52% of the total. Namely, this is why the database of Asian importers is of particular interest for Ukrainian manufacturers.

This year also has not seen significant changes in the structure of Ukrainian crude sunflower oil import purchase. Thus, in the first half of 2016 this product was purchased by 46 countries, already 14 of them are Asian. India and China preserved the leadership concerning the volumes of the export.

The document provides a short-term creation of the free-trade area between Ukraine and the 250-millinon Asian country and also implies a significant increase in the volume of exports of agricultural products and their processing.
