Abstract

Saw mill and Wood pellet plant would be a natural ecologically choice to supplement a logging operation that may produce a significant amount of waste and bark. The goal of this project is to provide details about wood processing operation composed of a saw mill and pellet making plant, and at a later stage logging and forest management. Logs, sown wood, and pellet industry will be detailed to evaluated feasibility and strategic fit on this opportunity.

This project will evaluate the feasibility of building an operation of sawmill and wood pellet plan as one means of achieving an early success for the JV.  An industry analysis will provide an overview of the dynamics of the industry including its attractiveness. The resources and expectations of the JV will be reviewed to ensure strategic decisions are aligned.  Finally, the pellet plant opportunities are analyzed through a detailed market analysis, a competitive position overview, and detailed financial analysis. At the end, recommendations are made based on the feasibility and the fit with the JV objectives.

The initial investment needed is about $US10mil to set up the pellet plant and sawmill. 1mil ha forest concession will be attributed to the project. industry player and investors are required for the project.
