Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance will support Ukrainian small and medium-sized business in 2015
EBRD and Austrian government started the Ukrainian program in increasing the energy efficiency.
According to the statistical data the most Ukrainian enterprises involved into alternative energy production are the part of small and medium-sized business. The biggest problem for those companies is the lack of floating capital which can be used for the further development. In fact, it was poor awareness of investment companies prevented such enterprises from getting the necessary support.
However, there are enough international organizations and programs running in Ukraine that deal with the energy analysis and develop a number of guidelines for energy efficiency increasing. UKEEP, a Ukrainian program for increasing the energy efficiency is one of these running programs. Its biggest advantage is to offer not only the informational and consulting support but also the financial support for start up the projects concerning the optimization processes of the energy consumption by the commercial objects, renewable energy sources usage and improving the production with implemented energy efficient equipment.
