Green Expo Argentina

GREEN EXPO ARGENTINA is the first international fair for the biogas, cogeneration, hydro-electric plants, biofuels and waste treatment industry in Argentina, and will take place from 3 to 5 July 2012 at La Rural, predio ferial de Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires Exhibition Center).

In the last few years, Argentina has undergone the highest level of growth with regards to renewable energy installations, making the country one of the most interesting for projects dedicated to the green economy. This development was confirmed in 2010 with the start-up of energy programmes with hydro-electric energy (10.6 MW) and biofuels (110.4 MW) among the protagonists of this evolution.

In order to promote the development of these sectors, in fact, the government aims at reaching a percentage of 8% of the national energy needs using renewable sources by 2016 and, by means of the GENREN II plan of 2010, started up a project that also involves geothermal energy, biogas, and solid urban waste.

GREEN EXPO ARGENTINA will therefore be an important opportunity for all professionals of the sector interested in the important market of Latin America, which offers the best geo-climatic and technical conditions, to become one of the worldwide leaders in the renewables sector.

GREEN EXPO ARGENTINA will take place alongside EXPO SOLAR ARGENTINA, the event dedicated to photovoltaic, thermal and concentrating solar power, and EOLICA ARGENTINA, the wind energy expo and conference.
