Producer of pellets intends to warm up the schools
An early stage company, producing pellets, told about their market expansion intentions with pellets, that are made of waste wood and recycled plastic components.
The company Pelletko LLC, located in Maine, offers to the district USA schools , which annually consume approximately 15 thousand gallon of liquid fuel, to adjust their heating systems to pellets, without carrying equipment, set up and technical service expenses. Jim Knight (Pelletco chief executive) said, that these schools won’t have to make any investments, Pelletko will do it instead by installing the new heating systems. “We already have them, maintain them and demand payment solely for the heat consumedâ€. We measure the volume of energy that our clients use and then send them an invoice,†Mr. Knight said. Thanks to this approach the schools will manage to save heat, and moreover cut down their regular expenses.
Pelletco representatives think that such program will show to different institutions and business structures how much valuable these pellets are. Mr. Knight affirms that in comparisons with competitors’ products their pellets own far better performance specifications due to the unique mixture of feedstock. Apart from producing 100 % wood pellets, Pelletko company introduced a new technology which enables to join wood waste products and plastic residues, received from industrial enterprises directly, and not from dumps.
The substance applied for reused plastic pellets, has the structure which is very similar to natural gas. “Actually we infuse the pellets biomass with a solid gas, thus it’s possible to obtain much more heat energyâ€, Knight said. Our hybrid pellets feature great combustion properties, that’s why their ash residue is close to zero.
At present Pelletco has collaboration with other pellet producers to certify their technology and components used, moreover it offers the scheme of creating a new processing line. “Those who run an aggressive business and are eager for success, got really interested in this ideaâ€, Mr. Knight said. He thinks that by joining the mentioned components their company may get not just superb pellets yet the possibility to show an actual mastery of creating a pellet biomass. “It seems to me, this process is often treated like some kind of art, still it’s enough to know the sequence of steps. Simply trust your equipment. We think that biomass creating is a science, where all processes go on according to recipes and formulasâ€.
Pelletco manufactured some hybrid (and wood) pellets to supply the schools participating in the program. The company intends to use boilers and other needed equipment granted by the USA providers.
