Smart grid changes traditional approach to electricity
Intelligent networks are technologies of the future in power. Indeed, due to smart grid makes lives of producers and consumers easier. Smart grid is actively used in Sweden, Italy. In Finland 80% of the predicted transition to such technologies is expected as early as till 2014.

The EU will invest approximately $ 750 billion on the development of smart grid within the next 30 years. Finland's investment in new technology should count 25-30 billion dollars in 15 years.
The benefit of intelligent networks is that the control is carried out automatically. Previously, for example, if the black-outs occurred, the specialists would have to go to the place for troubleshooting. With smart grid everything is much easier.
Computer system immediately identifies a disabled area and the problem will be solved.
Recently, the hurricane which happened in Finland allowed to test the strength of this well-proven technology. Smart grid showed its best. Many companies are happy to use a private network that is operated from offices. Moreover, it was possible to control the network of in-house by remote control or online on PC.
