The launch of pellet production near the Port of Greater Baton Rouge
The companies Point Bio Energy (PBE) LLC and Sun Plus Inc. signed the agreement regarding intention to take on lease for 10 years 133 acres of the land adjoining the Port of Greater Baton Rouge in order to arrange there a wood pellet production plant.
The companies’ leaders informed that the intended term of the pellet plant building is the end of the current year.
As the chairman and the executive director of Point Bio Energy William New said, the contract signed not only will place PBE in a very strong position like a first production company, yet also will allow to launch the second pellet production plant of the same kind.
The company plan to organize the production focused on pressing sawdust for getting wood pellets, which will be used like the fuel for electricity production in Europe. Point Bio want to use the nearby Port for storing and delivering their raw materials and ready production.
