US investors are worried about the attitude of the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy to alternative energy

According to the investors, the head of the Ministry said that the Ukrainian alternative energy had been a legacy of corruption schemes times of Yanukovych.

This statement was made during the meeting of the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchishin and representative of the American Chamber of Commerce Stanislav Kruglyakov. Mr. Kruglyakov, who is also a member of the Energy Committee of the United States, said that he did not understand the reasons for such attitude of the Ukrainian government to the development of alternative energy.

Also, Mr. Kruglyakov added that the decision of the National Commission for State Energy and Public Utilities Regulation to reduce "green" tariff for electricity produced using renewable energy sources, not only violated the Ukrainian legislation, but also all rights of investors.

In addition, the sharp devaluation of the Ukrainian currency has led to significant losses for investors, who have credit commitments.
