Bioelektrownie Świętokrzyskie plans to launch bio power station with 10 МW capacity

In about four years a modern power plant working on biofuels is planned to be opened in the Polish town Starachowice. The company Bioelektrownie Świętokrzyskie, specializing in the generating energy from renewable resources, is going to invest over 150 million zloty in the project and launch the station in 2017.

According to the project plan, biogaz and biopower stations will be built in Starachowice. It is assumed that the companies will be located on approximately nine hectares, their total capacity will be 10 MW. The administration of Bioelektrownie Świętokrzyskie has already considered the question of raw material bases, and now they intend to sign the agreements with local farmers for the supply of biomass from agricultural waste (for a period of not less than 25 years). As a result several hundred farmers from all surrounding areas will be able to collaborate with future heat and electricity generating stations.

The project provides for using on the power station the most modern technologies in Poland, therefore, the established industrial enterprise will not harm the environment. Electricity production will be carried out in a sealed environment. In addition, the station will not release wastes as the analogs of granular organic fertilizers will be produced of them.

The construction and start-up of the plant will be implemented within the framework of investment and research activities, during which the experts involved will also develop and release the catalogue of plants which are the most suitable for cultivating on nearby farms.
