Boeing and Embraer start aviation biofuel joint research

To develop the aviation biofuel market Boeing and Embraer opened the joint research center in Brazil.

The new center is located in the São José dos Campos Technology Park. Its main goal is to unite the efforts for joint research with Brazil Universities and scientific organizations.First of all the companies plan to develop the technologies that will help to improve the aviation biofuel industry.

'Our goal is to join the work in developing new technologies necessary for the sustainable development of the aviation fuel industry in Brazil', - said Mauro Kern, executive vice president of Embraer. Also he pointed the fact that Brazil had already showed its potential and become the leader in clean energy implementation after started up the ethanol and biodiesel production.

Such a center created by the Brazilian companies is a part of world-wide plan in industry development. Its name is Flightpath to Aviation Biofuels Development in Brazil.

Boeing has launched already 6 research centers in Africa, Europe, China, Japane, Southeast Asia, Australia and USA.
