Mexican governments involve foreign investors into alternative energy sources branch.
Mexican government leads the further energy reorganization, planning to abandon usage of the fossil fuels as an energy power source and planes to make their priority the renewable energy sources implementation.
Pedro Joaquin Coldwell, head of the Mexican Energy Ministry announced their target to save the country from the petroleum addiction by developing new technologies and inviting the investors from all over the world.
Now the Mexican energy department has a special four years project in wind parks development. The total amount of investment needed for the project implementation is $14 billion. After this program’s presentation such companies as Iberdrola, Gamesa and Acciona announced their desire to invest 7,6 billion euro. All three companies represent Spanish business.
Iberdrola company has certain work experience in Mexico already. The total capacity of its implemented projects in wind energy power development in New Leon, Baja California, Puebla, Oaxaca and Coahuila de Zaragoza is about 5200 MW per hour.
