German-owned machine builder is planning to develop new facility in Ohio.
RUF US Inc., a machine builder company, which is envolved in the field of briquetting, is planning to buy one-story building (6,800-square-foot) for the new base for its manufacturing facility. As an additional option, RUF US have plans to build a new loading dock, upgrade the electrical wiring, purchase and install new equipment and machinery and set a new floor area in a seat. The investment funds would be about $465,000. The building cost is $305,900, company representatives said.
The move depends on receiving an enterprise zone tax abatement from the city budget. Estimated abatement is 55 percent for 10 years. The sum is $63,603.24.
President of RUF US, Greg Tucholski declared Council that this offers just what his expanding company needs. “We want to develop our company and hopefully we can bring new jobs to the city,” he said. “Our currently possession is too small, offers no place for us to expand and with this new property we have found a place where we can be amused for years to come.”
The company hopes to start its work in Elyria by the end of the year.
