EU/UNDP project still waits for its implementation in Berdyansk district due to bureaucratic protraction.
This project 'Community Based Approach to Local Development Project' is the forth one for Androvskyi rural council of Berdyansk district. Local community proved themselves as a reliable partner and won the privilege to have wind power generator in Troiany village. At the beginning four communities were participants of this competition but they did not overcome the long-term procedure caused by the national bureaucracy. Androvskyi rural council passed all the obligatory stages however the state budget did not provided the rest part of financial funds in amount of 72 thousand hryvnias required for high-quality generator installment.
This project includes wind power generator installation with power capacity of 8 kW that will supply the drinkable water well with energy power. That would give a possibility to local people to reduce energy costs by 1,7 hryvnias for one cubic meter. The total cost of works is more than 400 thousand hryvnias. EU and UNDP provided one part of this amount and the local community gathered the other. Alexander Riabyi, a project coordinator informed that despite all the achievements made by the local community all the government structures remained pretty indifferent. Funds can pass through these structures up to 7 month still the local government believes in successful project realization.
