Since November 2011 in Poland the law went in force under which landowners and farmers are able to produce biodiesel using special biotanks. Ukrainian consumers also positively evaluate this innovation of the Polish authorities.
The experience has shown that the processing of one liter of oil of vegetable or animal origin can give a liter of biodiesel. The capacities of a biotank (which is a bioreactor that looks like a a 2-meter high wardrobe) makes it possible to produce up to 200 liters of biodiesel per day.
The cost of the bioreactor ranges from 2.5 to 4 euros, depending on the technical specifications.
The experts say that biodiesel has a good chance to take up to 10% market share of biofuel in Poland. First of all, biodiesel is up to 30% cheaper than conventional fuels. The advent of the law on biomass the problem with the supply of raw materials for biodiesel production has been solved. It all contributes to promoting the biodiesel position in the biofuel segment of Polish energy sector.
This innovation in Poland attracted the attention of Ukrainian farmers. They are also interested in acquiring Polish bioreactors for the production of biodiesel.
