This statement was made by the Ambassador of Kuwait in Italy, Sheikh Ali Al-Khalid Al-Jabar Al-Sabah, who took part in the Italian forum dedicated to environmental protection.
As the Sheikh Ali said, Kuwait leaders are developing the plan of promoting environmentally friendly renewable energy sources. Also a series of studies aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions are conducting. The results of these efforts will be demonstrated at the EXPO MILANO exhibition, which will be held in May this year.
Not only Kuwait, but all the countries of the Gulf Cooperation are conducting these works. In particular, the United Arab Emirates became the headquarters of the International Agency for Renewable Energy (IRENA).
In turn Dzhilotti Alessandro, managing director of Kuwait Petroleum Italia company, said that despite the fact that over the next decade, fossil fuels are considered as the main source of world energy, oil Italian companies are grateful to the government of Kuwait for the invitation to participate in the development of plans for environment protection.
