Zaporizhia city government performs the municipal energy power plan.
The main plan’s target is to reduce the natural gas consumption by the alternative energy sources implementation, the renewable energy sources and thermal modernization of the municipal services.
Within the project’s framework the city council deputies approved the decision to create a joint company promoted by Zaporozhgorsvet public utility and LUNA Holding GmbH. This company starts its activity from replacing the street lightening lamps by the LED lamps. It will help either to reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs or to save some budget funds.
The initial costs will be 6 mln euros from the planned amount of 23 mln. LUNA Holding GmbH provided these funds and planned to repay it within nine years. A representative of the investment company considers these numbers to be rather good for such a project. They expect successful performance of all the investment projects planned by the Zhaporizhia municipal energy power plan.
