Biofuels in India have immense potential in positively contributing to the overall energy security of the country and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. To promote this emerging renewable energy option and to address the larger environmental and social impacts of adopting the biofuels technology, Winrock International India (WII) organizes an International Conference on Biofuels every year. The conference brings together, from across the world, some of the most respected and renowned names in the industry, and has established itself as a vibrant platform for stakeholder interactions on the subject.

The 6th International Biofuels Conference will deliberate on some of the most relevant and contentious issues facing the biofuels movement. The conference is designed to provide in-depth information about the local and global potential of this sector, to facilitate debate on the concerns raised, and proposes to examine new developments in the biofuels industry.
