The government approved making amendments in the order of using funds, which are intended for the state support of the energy-saving activities through the mechanism of making loans more cost effective. On the 22nd of August 2012 the corresponding enactment was adopted during the meeting of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers.

The purpose of this regulatory act is to confirm the provision of the Order of funds usage approved by the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers from the 13 of April 2011 (â„– 439 in the chapter where the Ministry of economic development was appointed to be the main administrator of the mentioned funds).

The adoption of such enactment will allow to improve the mechanism of granting cost reimbursement, associated with payment of interest from the credits, taken for accomplishing energy-saving projects. This   reimbursement of real costs is connected with payment of interest during the current budget period and also with limitation of compensation of the higher interest rate.

This document will also make for simplification of the receiving by business entities the compensation of costs, connected with payment of interest, by decreasing the number of administrative procedures. It’s stipulated to exclude from the Order the norm, which is connected with credit considering involving loans by the commission, coordinating fulfilling of the activities, connected with realization of investing projects.
