In Donetsk region the pellet boiler will annually save 300 000 UAH
Beginning from 07.10.2013, the Starobeshevo local hospital, Donetsk region, will be heated by the new boiler that works on pellets. This project is a part of "The Energy Efficiency Program of Donetsk region for 2010-2015 year". The opening of a new boiler was cost 1.7 million UAH. The international organization R-20 made possible a realization of the project. Now, at the annual purchase of fuel will be saved 300,000 USD.
Boiler room operates due to two established water heating solid fuel boilers with the total capacity of 1 watt. Also fuel energy account devices and automatic fuel delivery system were established.
Pellets are the main fuel for the boiler and the extra fuel is gas (for operation at peak loads). The governor of Donetsk region said that due to the implementation of the project in 2012, the utilities of the region reduced consumption of natural gas by 8%.
From 2010 until the beginning of 2013 municipal power companies reconstructed boilers and launched into the operation 27 high efficiency boilers, 115 facilities for frequency conversion of power by electric motors and 34 new designed burners. Also 28 heating pumps were modernized and 155,8 km of heating networks using pipes with a polyurethane isolation were reconstructed. During this period, 2 solar hot water supply objects for a social sphere during the period of absence of heating and more than 100 heat exchangers were established.
