Monstera company intends to purchase a sugar plant in Western Ukraine.
As Maksim Schvets, CEO announced they were dealing with an issue of launching the project in biofuel production. As the plant construction from the very beginning might cost around 100 mln euros it was decided to purchase already existing enterprise in order to improve it. In this case the amount of financial investment is 14 mln euros while the first products will be ready in 2016.
Within the improvement framework a biogas unit construction is possible. However this decision will take only company’s CEO after all the legislative issues is set.
It is worth mentioning the key activity area of the company is cattle farming and lime production and it has no experience in alternative energy. Nevertheless Mr Schvets informed he was ready to study any project in agribusiness or linked industries. The only criterion is cost effectiveness.
