The decision was taken by the market regulator owing to the termination of the state of emergency in the energy sector of Ukraine.
According to the member of commission Andrey Herus, starting from March 25 the rates for renewable energy suppliers were increased by 2-2,5 times. Wholesale market price has already been raised since March 1.
In particular, the rates for wind generators now make up 2,3-2,9 UAH/kWh, for solar power stations – 11,6-15,8 UAH/kWh. It is also expected that during the month of April alternative energy objects will receive approximately 300 million UAH.
As a reminder, at the beginning of the year NERC has already looked over the rates, having reduced them first by 10-20% on January 31 and up to 50-55% on February 27. This decision caused a rough reaction among foreign investors and other operators on the alternative energy market. The decision was taken in compliance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine.
