The volumes of sunflower oil export in October 2013 grew substantially. The increase of deliveries abroad is primarily caused by the attractive cost of the production, formed on the market during the reporting period.
Thus, the shipment of sunflower oil to India within the pointed period amounted 130.03 thousand tons, while in September the figure was 86.29 thousand tons. The volume of export to Egypt was 64.4 thousand tons (against 13 million tons last month), to Turkey - 11.5 thousand tons (against 8.86 tons in September).
A particular attention should be focused on China as in October 2013 PRC adopted 105,13 thousand tons of sunflower oil from Ukraine, while in September the country exported only 3.59 thousand tons. Such a significant growth of shipments to this area is primarily conditioned by the increased consumption of the product in China. In this country, the domestic production cannot fully satisfy the growing demand. The analysts predict that in 2013/14 MY Ukrainian sunflower oil supplies to China may exceed half a million tons.
