The production of crude sunflower oil in Ukraine fell down

The production of crude oil in Ukraine within 10 months of 2012/2013 marketing year (excluding oil mills) constituted 2.99 million tons. In this case 2.91 million tons of crude sunflower oil were produced, this is almost 7% less than it was produced during the period from September to June 2011/2012 MY. As for refined sunflower oil, its production for the pointed period increased by 3.4% (till 504 thousand tons).

Due to the reduction of sunflower seeds harvesting in 2012, the production of crude sunflower oil from January to June 2013 decreased by 17.3% compared to the same period of 2012.

However, according to representatives of the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy, in general, the country is not expected to reduce the production of sunflower oil in 2013.

The production of refined sunflower oil in Ukraine continues to grow. In January-June 2013 287 thousand tons of this product were produced in the country, such output is by 7.5% more than the one for the same period in 2012.
