The company Sia Broceni Pellets, which is the subsidiary enterprise of the company AS Graanul Invest has purchased the site of 16 hectares in square in Broceni Municipality. The local authorities have already granted the permission for the erection of the pellet plant at this site.
At the same time the management of the company Sia Broceni Pellets has concluded a number of contracts with the local companies, which will provide the future enterprise with the regular supply of raw material. The estimated capacity of the plant facilities amounts to about 150 thousands of tonnes of pellets annually, the production is expected to be launched at the beginning of 2016. This plant will be the eighth enterprise possessed by AS Graanul Invest.
The Concern was founded in 2003 and now it is a fast expanding company, which focuses on the alternative energy development and on the production of alternative fuel from biomass. Presently, the Concern is the second high-capacity producer of pellets in Europe.
