The management of KPN Group announced the takeover of the company Renewable Enery Corp., the majority shareholder of Wind Energy Holding Co., the leader of Southeast Asia in the field of alternative energy.
As the result of the transaction, the founder of Renewable Energy Corp and Wind Energy Holding Nopporn Suppipat will lose all of his assets in the above companies. At the same time, according to Mr. Nop Narongdeya, the president of KPN Group, this decision is the important stage for his company, only entering the market of alternative energy.
To date, Wind Energy Holding is one of the fastest growing Thai companies and the only one that built two wind power parks located in Nakhon Ratchazima and generating 207 megawatts of electricity. In addition, six more projects are under construction in the country. The company also owns a number of power grids, which makes it possible not only to make RES affordable, but also to give impetus to the development of the Thai economy.
