First Wind, an American leading company in alternative energy deals with the development, financial support, construction and management of renewable energy objects in public utilities. Now the company provides management services to four different projects in Massachusetts. Also it is involved into developing a number of objects in Utah and Hawaii. The total capacity of all company’s objects is about 1300 MW. This capacity is enough to supply more than 375 thousand of domestic buildings with the electric power annually.
Paul Gayner, a First Wind chief executive announced the special commission in Idaho public utilities affairs has approved the Energy Supply Agreement with five solar power stations. Each of these stations is to start its work at the end of 2016. According to this Agreement conditions the capacity of each solar power stations will be 20MW. The expected total capacity of all five solar power stations amounts to 250 000 MW annually. This energy volume will be enough to supply over 30 000 domestic buildings. This long-term Agreement with Idaho Power Company will also provide the state people with new workplaces and give an opportunity to increase their profit which will positively influence the local economy.
