According to the declarations of press cutting service of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency, the second stage of the competition for the projects on the use of alternative energy sources and on the measures aimed at the energy efficiency implantation has been launched.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Foodstuff of Ukraine, the State Agencies on Energy Efficiency in Ukraine, the UNO Agency on Industrial Development and the Global Ecological Fund undertook the initiative on the project called "Improvement of Energy Efficiency and Encouragement of Renewable Energy Utilisation in the Agro-Industrial sector and in other Small and Medium Enterprises in Ukraine".
The projects on the installation of the heating boilers using biomass, the projects on the biogas production and its use, the hot water supply based on solar accumulators and the implantation of ISO 50 001 energy management standard will be examined in the first place.
In the issue of this competition, the best 15 projects presented by the enterprises of agricultural and foodstuff industry and its related sectors will be selected. The winners will receive financial support and assistance in business plans preparation and in attraction of investments in the form of grants and loans.
The purpose of this project is to develop sufficient conditions for increasing energy efficiency in small and medium enterprises in Ukraine and the implantation of the technologies of alternative energy sources use.
