The volume of rape crop sown in Dnepropetrovsk region is more than needed

As the press service of Dnepropetrovsk regional administration informed, for the time being 383 thousand ha of winter crops are sawn for the harvest of 2013, that is 57% from the plan.

In Dnepropetrovsk region  676,2 thousand ha of winter crops were planned to be sawn for the harvest of 2013, including 517 thousand ha of wheat, 97 thousand ha of barley, 3 thousand ha of rye and 56,2 thousand ha of rape.

However for today the volume of sown rape crop prevails over the planned amount, it’s 67,8 thousand ha. The left 315,2 thousand ha of sawn area are occupied by winter wheat.

The regional administration affirms that sowing works go according to the schedule.
