The main consumers of the biogas will be Globinskiy processing and Globinskiy sugar factories.
The biogas setting, which is located on the territory of Globinskiy sugar factory, was put into the operation in October 2014. The cost of construction was approximately 20 million euro, and the construction process lasted for three years.
The plant uses agricultural waste such as corn cobs and straw, beet pulp and waste of soybean for the production of the biogas. According to the project of the complex the other raw materials, which can be supplied by other food industry, can also be used in this process.
Delivery of the biogas to the Globinskiy refinery plant carried out by the use of the own biogas pipeline, which unites the sugar and the processing plants. The level of substitution of the natural gas at the processing plant will reach 50%, but since September the rate will be lower, as the most of the biogas will be focused on the needs of the sugar factory.
According to the management of the holding, the aim of these events is not only the production of "green energy", but also care about the environment.
