This statement was made during the meeting of the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchishin and representative of the American Chamber of Commerce Stanislav Kruglyakov. Mr. Kruglyakov, who is also a member of the Energy Committee of the United States, said that he did not understand the reasons for such attitude of the Ukrainian government to the development of alternative energy.
Also, Mr. Kruglyakov added that the decision of the National Commission for State Energy and Public Utilities Regulation to reduce "green" tariff for electricity produced using renewable energy sources, not only violated the Ukrainian legislation, but also all rights of investors.
In addition, the sharp devaluation of the Ukrainian currency has led to significant losses for investors, who have credit commitments. On the question of what to do for investors, who have loans in state banks, the minister said that credit can not be paid, as Mr. Demchishin are not interested in the banks destiny.
His speech Mr. Kruglyakov finished with the statement of intent to appeal to the US Embassy, the Parliament of Ukraine and bring to coverage of the problem to representatives of the foreign press. He also thinks that it is necessary to change the approach of the appointment of ministers, currently expressed in their appointment by party quotas.
