In 2015 Boeing Company starts biofuel production

Boeing Company along with Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) start co-production of biofuel. That is the first step for Boeing to make the aircraft energy-efficient.

In 2012 Boeing Company established partner ties with COMAC in order to develop aircraft industry in China. The new research institute established in cooperation by these two partners runs the researches to make air carriage, power supply and air service more efficient.

The Boeing Company Management announced thebiofuel production is planned to start this year at the China-U.S. Aviation Biofuel Project plant for supplying company’s airliners with new fuel. The plant will use the scavenge machinery oil that is simply emptied out in China as a raw material. The oil purification and recycling technology based on the Hangzhou Energy & Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (HEET) researches allows producing up to 650 liters daily.
