2014 was not quite auspicious for the Austrian manufacturers of boilers.
Notably steep decrease affected the manufacturers of pellet boilers, for in 2014 an extremely minute amount of new boilers and new heating systems had been installed. The volume of the sales amounted just to 6500 units of the up-to-date equipment, which was by 37% less than in 2013. The sales of wood boilers fell by 2% and to 5200 units. Only the manufacturers of thermal pumps can boast of greater profit. They have sold 15500 items, which is by 8% more compared to 2013.
It is worth reminding that the average prices for pellets in Austria in February amounted to 23, 89 eurocent per kilogram, which accounts for 5, 08 eurocent per 1kWt/h. Compared to January the price rose by 0, 4%, nonetheless the gas heating is still by 40, 6% more expensive.
